Chinese New Year- Year of The Rabbit

We don't make a big deal out of Chinese New Year because Mae would rather not at this time. However, a guest reader (Cantonese woman) came to her school and read a book, wrote the kids names in Chinese and taught them a few words in Cantonese. She came home happy and excited, but when I mentioned that some day we could go to China and visit, she said, "No....I never want to go back there." Time will tell.......

2011 is the year of the Rabbit. Mae was born in the year of the Rooster.
