We took a 3 hour drive to the Cashiers, NC area to see a few waterfalls. Mark took some beautiful pictures with his new camera!
The above picture is Whitewater Falls in Cashiers, NC. It is the highest falls east of the Mississippi River at 411 feet.
The above picture is Silver Run Falls. It cascades over a 20 to 25 foot high ledge into a beautiful tree-lines pool that also features a sandy beach. It's about a 3 hour drive from home, so we are planning to go back this summer when we can swim!
Pretty dam in Highlands, NC. We parked along the road and Mark jumped out to get a few pictures!
White Oaks Falls. Another pretty falls in the Cashiers area.
Mae is becoming quite the little hiker!
Pamela and Mae are happy to be at the falls!
Mae taking a rest from hiking.
We stopped at the River's End restaurant for lunch on the way home. There were only a few brave people kayaking, since it was COLD!!

Wow! Mark took some awesome photos! He's quite the photographer! I love the "bad hair day" one of Mae! She looks absolutely beautiful! Loved the ones of the falls too!
